Frank's Orange Goes Gold!

A congratulations are in order for Frank Ocean and it's well deserved, his debut album "Channel Orange" has officially gone gold. Ocean is up for 6 awards at the Grammys, including Best New Album, and he will also be performing. This is quite an accomplishment for Ocean, his record, which was released in July 2012, has sold at least 500,000 copies. Ocean has the opportunity to sell even more records if he gives a standout performance and gets a few grammy nods - which everyone think he will, and it's well deserved.  Ocean's debut album was totally fantastic, the critics gave nothing but rave reviews.  We're so happy for Ocean, did you cop "Channel Orange"?

Drake To Release New Single On Grammy Night

On February 10th, the day the Grammy's will air, Drake is set to release a new single.  Drake hasn't yet confirmed the time, but the release date is certain. You can probably bet that the song will come out after the Grammy's air.  Drake has been hard working on the video for the single in his native Toronto, where he was seen wearing all white. It will be the first single off his newest album, and Drake has confirmed that the song is going to be titled "Started From The Bottom". Also, the CEO of Cash Money Records said that the 55th anual Grammy Awards will be "the highlight of their life", has that got you pumped or what?

Plus, it's been over a year since Drake released his debut album, so we're curious to see what the artist has in store for his sophomore release.

The Donald Threatens Mac Miller

In a recent interview with Complex Mac Miller was talking to Marc Ecko and they were discussing Mac's hit song "Donald Trump" from the mixtape Best Day Ever which came out in 2011. Mac said that he thinks Donald Trump is a dick, and Ecko agreed. Mac also added "Oh, fuck—this is horrible, I have a fucking song with this dude's name and now he's being such a douchebag". Well, Trump must have heard about the interview and he wasn't too pleased. Trump lost his cool and went off on his Twitter with a series of threats to Mac. The Donald says that Mac used his name illegally and now has 75million views on the video. Another tweet said that Mac is an "ungrateful dog" and that Trump is gonna "teach you a big boy lesson".

Hmm, maybe Mac shoulda kept his mouth shut on this one.  We'll have to stay tuned to see if Trump actually pulls though with these threats.

Lindsay Lohan Late For Court

Lindsay Lohan hopped a last minute flight to Los Angeles to appear in court for misdemeanor charges stemming from her June 2012 car accident.  However, the actress was about seven minutes late, which isn't too bad by the actress' standards.  The judge, Stephanie Sautner, was sure to mention that Lohan tried to skip court because of her terrible illness, but the judge remarked "I'm glad to see you're feeling better". Lohan looked tired and was wearing little make-up, and she showed up to court with her mom and a new lawyer, Mark Jay Heller. However the judge was tough on Lohan's new lawyer, when Heller said something about him being from New York and hearing that Sautner was also from New York, Sautner immediately cut him off saying "flattery doesn't get you anywhere".

The lady judge sounds like one tough cookie.  All in all Lohan made out okay and won't have to appear at the next pre-trial hearing scheduled for March 1. She will be set to appear March 18th when the case goes to trial.

Ron Jeremy Has Heart Aneurysm

The former porn star was hospitalized in Los Angeles with a heart aneurysm.  The 59-year-old is currently is critical condition. Jeremy drove himself to the hospital between 2-3am on Wednesday morning because he was suffering from chest pains.  He was eventually taken in to ICU and had to undergo surgery.  The former "The Surreal Life" star is apparently now resting after having undergone a second successful surgery.

Kimye's Baby Won't Be On TV

In a new interview with Live With Jimmy Kimmel Kim Kardashian says that her and Kanye West have decided that they're baby won't appear alongside them on their reality tv show. Kim said that when the baby is old enough to decide only then will they make an appearance, or not. Kim said that as of now she wants to keep thing as private as possible.  She was also sure to add that it was a tough decision because she loves seeing her sisters kid on the show.

Lately Kim revealed that her and Kanye will not release the gender of the baby until after it is born.

Will A Destiny's Child Reunion Happen?

We all know that the girls are all saying a collective no about the supposed reunion at the Super Bowl, but there are reasons they might be full of sh*t.  When Michelle Williams did an interview last week she stated that the reunion "is not confirmed", what an odd way of putting it, no? Williams also decided to go with the alibi that she would be performing in the musical Fela! at the Sidney Harman Hall in Washington D.C.  That story has a giant hole though, if you go to the show's website it clearly says that Michelle Williams will not be in the show from January 31st - February 3rd.

No matter what you should go out and cop the compilation album Love Songs from Destiny's Child that came out today.

Lohan Is Too Sick To Make A Court Appearance, Obviously

Lindsay Lohan was supposed to appear in court on Wednesday in Santa Monica for a pre-trial hearing in relation to when she lied to police about her car accident in June 2012. Lohan is now saying that she is way to sickly to make the cross country flight from New York to California to appear in court. Her lawyer has submitted documents saying she is too sick to fly. The actress apparently is under the weather with an upper respiratory infection. Since her lawyer is top notch he even included an article from The New York Post about the flu epidemic in New York dated January 11th.

However, Lohan appeared in great health on Saturday when she was seen in SoHo shopping and smoking cigarettes. A judge could issue a warrant for her arrest if she fails to appear.

Chris Brown Roughed Up In Brawl?

Today Chris Brown was spotted sporting a heavy cast on his right arm. News reports have indicated that Frank Ocean went to the hospital after the fight, so maybe that's where Brown ran off to since he wasn't present when the police arrived.

Guess Brown injured his hand when he punched Ocean. However, we kinda feel for Brown because his cast was very clean, it appears the rapper has no friends to sign it for him.

The Los Angeles Sheriff said that while Brown isn't "wanted" he does need to be questioned about the incident.  Also, reports are now surfacing that Ocean wants to press charges.

92lbs Of Pot At Long Island Traffic Stop

                                   
Nassau Police arrested a woman who was talking on her cell phone while driving when they found 92lbs of pot when the pulled her over. Mizzie Artiz, 27 of Bellport, was operating a 1999 Hyundai in North Bellmore on Columbus Ave at around 6pm when the police spotted her, she also failed to use her safety belt. Before they pulled her over Artiz met up with a minivan, however the minivan fled the scene after two police cars passed them.  Artiz also left the scene and drove through a stop sign and also failed to use her signal. After the police pulled her over they spotted two brown boxes that reeked of marijuana. The police used dogs to confirm Artiz was transporting marijuana, they also found boxes in her trunk.

Artiz was subsequently arrested and charged with first-degree criminal possession of marijuana, and additionally was charged with a number of traffic violations. She is due back in court on Wednesday.

Is Danny Garcia "Ducking" Out On Zab Judah?

Danny Garcia has postponed his February 9th welterweight fight against Zab Judah.  Garcia suffered a rib injury that he hasn't been able to work though, thus the fight has been moved back until April 27th. Judah was unhappy with the decision and took to his Twitter to voice it.  Judah remarked that Garcia was probably faking the injury and that he was "ducking" Judah.

Then Judah and ESPN boxing writer Dan Rafael got into a little war of words through their Twitter accounts. It started when Rafael made comments about Judah rescheduling a fight back in 2008 with Shane Mosley due to injury, and asked whether Judah was "ducking" him back in the day.  Judah immediately defended himself tweeting "I never in my life ducked no one!! NEVER, ask the Streets!!! I'm a Brownsville baby!! #brooklyn".

Anyway, all this beef should make for a better fight in April.

Chris Brown Vs. Frank Ocean - Throwdown

Last night Chris Brown and Frank Ocean got into a blowout fight at an LA studio. This feud goes long back though, in June 2011 Chris Brown made disparaging comments about Frank Ocean and Odd Future on Twitter. Following that Frank Ocean was apparently being harassed by members of Chris Brown's entourage. However, the two took to Twitter again in late June 2011 to report that "things got to real" and that they were officially squashing the beef. Speaking about the feud Ocean said "this had to end." Guess when they were put face to face again things had to change, old feelings resurfaced and the two went at it. Apparently Chris Brown was at the studio working with a new artist that just signed, and sources indicate that Ocean started the fight and eventually Ocean and his crew blockaded the door which led to the physical altercation. Ocean tweeted "got jumped by chris and a couple guys. lol. i only wish everest was there."

Police arrived at the scene but Brown had already left.  No charges were filed.

The Bad Begins For Lance

Lance Armstrong recently admitted to Oprah that he knowingly used performance enhancing drugs. Now a week after the 7 time Tour de France winner let the truth set him free he is being sued over the two books he wrote. Two readers of his books are filing a class action lawsuit stating that they bought the books under the pretense that they were honest works of nonfiction.  The two defendants state that in the books Armstrong continuously says that he never used performance enhancing drugs.

This is most likely just the beginning for Armstrong.  The companies that supplied his old endorsement deals will likely be wanting their money back from the disgraced spokesman, and even groups that paid for Armstrong to speak will be seeking their money back.  Armstrong once demanded up to $200,000 to speak at a function.  The 41-year-old could even face perjury charges since he lied in court about his use of performance enhancing drugs.

Is Miley Cyrus A Wifey?

The March 2013 issue of Cosmopolitan features Miley Cyrus on the cover as well as a very intense interview with her. In the interview Cyrus calls Liam Hemsworth her "hubby." So, were the two married or is she just using the term loosely? In the interview Cyrus was asked about the best aspects of her life, and she listed her relationship with Hemsworth at the very top.  Cyrus said "Number one is my relationship with Liam. That’s what I feel the most confident in." Back in June Hewsworth also referred to the couple saying "we're married" when he made an acceptance speech at the Australians In Film Awards & Benefit Dinner and after he said it a shocked Cyrus screamed out "we will be." Also, over the holidays the duo was seen wearing rings that could indicate they are married.

Jenelle Evans Suffers Miscarriage, Hospitalized

Teen Mom 2 reality tv star Jenelle Evans has suffered a miscarriage, the child would have been her second.  Evans rose to fame when she was featured on MTV's 16 and pregnant. Unfortunately, on January 25th the mom was rushed to the hospital when she had a miscarriage. The baby was fathered by Courtland Rogers, who is Evans' husband, and also happened to be the father of the unborn child. However, Rogers was apparently banned from the hospital due to the wishes of Evans. Reports surfaced that Evans' ex-fiance Gary Head was present at the hospital. On January 23rd Evans filed charges alleging that Rogers physically assaulted her.  Rogers is facing up to 150 days in jail from the 6 charges that Evans filed. The charges included assault on a female, and battery on an unborn child. So, most likely this is why he's not allowed to see her in the hospital, Evans' lawyer has told the media that his client is not allowed to speak with Rogers after filing the very serious charges against him.

Well, we hope Jenelle rests up and gets better.

Tina Turner To Become Swiss Citizen

Tina Turner has been living in Switzerland in a Zurich lake house since 1995, and now she is looking to make it official. She moved in with her manager German record executive Erwin Bach back in the mid-90's. The 73-year-old Turner told the German newspaper Blick that living in Switzerland makes her "feel at home" and that she "could not imagine a better place to live." After Turned passed a local civics test and interview the local council approved her request for citizenship, however it still has to be approved by swiss state and federal authorities. With this decision though, Turner will also have to give up her American citizenship, so she is obviously taking the love for her new country quite seriously.

Kimye Goes To Paris

Kim Kardashian and her beau Kanye West are currently is Paris for Couture Fashion Week. The duo has  been spotted at a couple runway shows, and they have been seen shopping around the city.  They were dressed very well for the occasion.  Kim had her very famous baby bump hidden behind a white dress with a feathery skirt, and paired it with a white coat to match. Kanye was holding it down with a gray scarf.  The couple looked extremely happy as they held hands and smiled at each other.  Their stops included Hermès, Lavin, and Cartier, where they looked at jewelry and watches.  Kanye apparently gifted Kim with a $65,000 Cartier bracelets, and she uploaded these pictures of them to her twitter account:

Chief Keef Not Being Sued By Middle Schooler

Chief Keef is being sued for child support by a 17-year-old girl. It was initially reported that she was in middle school, but now that's known to be untrue.  Keef is the father of an 18-month-old baby who was  born in November 2011.  The girl is seeking "an appropriate amount of child support", day-care expenses, health insurance, out-of-pocket medical expenses, retroactive child support, and lawyer fees. The suit was filed December 11th, and states that Keef earns a substantial amount of income, and is a well known music artist. Keef has already signed a document saying he is the father.

After releasing his debut album "Finally Rich", Keef has gained more fame for his stunts happening out of the recording studio.  He was recently sentenced to 60 days in a juvenile facility, and just signed a $6 million record deal with Interscope.

The Game To Be Featured In GTA V?

The Game was already in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas as Mark "B-Dup" Wayne, and now the rapper will most likely have an even more prominent role in Grand Theft Auto V.  In an interview last year The Game confirmed that he would definitely be involved in the latest installment in the franchise, but now we're being clued into exactly how big a role he will be playing. Grand Theft Auto V takes place in Los Santos, which is based off of Los Angeles, and The Game is from Los Angeles.

This past weekend fan artwork was revealed, and the rapper was featured alongside the Rockstar logo.

No release date has been set yet for the game, but Rockstar is expected to let us know by the end of the month.  Hopefully then we'll know more too about The Game's involvement in GTA V.

Nikki Minaj Goes Diva

So, what prompted Nikki Minaj to walk off the set of "American Idol"?  The feud between Jackson and Minaj started when the 20-year-old singer from Georgia, Summer Cunningham, sung a beautiful country-type rendition of "Lean On Me" and afterward she commented that she did "the whole country thing."  Keith Urban, Mariah Carey and Randy Jackson all agreed that Cunningham's voice was well suited for country music, but (and here is where things get fiery) Nikki disagreed. Jackson believes that Cunningham should focus primarily on country in her career, but Nikki doesn't think she should put herself in a "box."

Nikki has an important point though, Cunningham shouldn't limit herself, especially so early in her career.  After Jackson told Cunningham that he was only trying to help her with his 30 years of experience in the business Minaj fought back and told Randy "Oh, you’re right. I’m sorry. I can’t help her. Maybe I should just get off the f*cking panel!" Auditions after that were delayed when she stormed off the set.

Kanye West Speaks In Twitter Tongues

Kanye West has an astounding 9.15 million followers on Twitter, and he last tweeted on January 7th - until now.  Back on January 7th West tweeted a picture of him alongside his pregnant girlfriend (America's sweetheart Kim Kardashian), and power-couple Jay-Z and Beyonce with the caption FAM. This was the calm before the Twitter storm that happened on West's account.

But today he made his Twitter return after 18 days of silence with a series of odd tweets at around 4:30pm.  The world has no idea what goes on inside the mind of the rapper, and well...we still don't.

His tweets started with "Truth" and ended with "Functionality".
In between you had "Beauty" "Minimalism" "Emotion" "Soul" "Awesomeness".

What does it all mean?

French Montana - Freaks Ft. Nikki Minaj

French Montana showed the world the artwork for his latest single "Freaks" off his upcoming album Excuse My French.  The album is set for a release sometime in March and the single will feature Nikki Minaj.  Montana has already dropped a couple singles off the album, and now he's prepared to give us yet another track.  But can this Nikki Minaj assisted jam out-do "Pop That"?

You can expect the single to drop within a couple days.  However, the song title has us wondering What Will Nikki Do?

Timberlake Debuts "Suit & Tie" Video

 

After releasing the teaser video for "Suit & Tie" on Wednesday, Timberlake did right by his fans on Thursday and released the entire video for our viewing pleasure. In the video the 31-year-old Timberlake appears dapper as he smokes and cruises around in a classic car. He is also seen sporting his wedding ring (sorry ladies) as he hangs by a casino.

Jay-Z who spits a verse on the track doesn't make a cameo in the video, but while his verse is playing you can see Timberlake puffing on a cigar.

Finally, the video ends as Timberlake takes a hammer to a window with the words "The 20/20 Experience Coming Soon."  His album release date, March 19, quickly flashes on the screen, and watch out because it's easy to miss fam.
