Tina Turner To Become Swiss Citizen

Tina Turner has been living in Switzerland in a Zurich lake house since 1995, and now she is looking to make it official. She moved in with her manager German record executive Erwin Bach back in the mid-90's. The 73-year-old Turner told the German newspaper Blick that living in Switzerland makes her "feel at home" and that she "could not imagine a better place to live." After Turned passed a local civics test and interview the local council approved her request for citizenship, however it still has to be approved by swiss state and federal authorities. With this decision though, Turner will also have to give up her American citizenship, so she is obviously taking the love for her new country quite seriously.
