Britney Spears Won't Be A Vegas Resident

After Britney Spears left her role as a judge on "The X Factor" the rumors started swirling that she was headed to Vegas. Apparently Spears wanted to be headlining a show in Vegas and was seriously considering a move to the sin city. The deals were rumored to be worth up to $100 million, and sources were saying she could have ended up at Caesars' Coliseum or Planet Hollywood. A Vegas insider said "There was one definite offer for Britney in Las Vegas. A second one followed when the news broke", and they also added that it's still a possibility but nothing will get signed until Spears completes her latest album. 

Interestingly enough, the same Vegas source said that the hesitance surrounding the deal may have to do with Beyonce's recent troubles with lip-synching. The source said that venue executives may have an unwillingness to sign Spears to a long-term contact due to fear that she frequently lip-synchs during live performances, and the public outcry surrounding Beyonce's recent performance at the Presidential Inauguration.
