Yesterday Jay-Z signed a deal with Warner/Chappell Music, and he brought the entire Roc Nation Label with him as well. Warner/Chappell will now own all the publishing rights to Jay-Z's entire collection of music from 2008 up until now. They will also have all of the Roc Nation's signee's catalogues as well. Jay-Z said that success is being able to work alongside someone that you believe is a friend, and he feels as though Jon Platt (The President of Creative at Warner/Chappell Music) is a friend. He added that Platt is an extremely talented executive.
