Last night Angelina Jolie appeared on the red carpet for the first time in almost a year. She was present at the American Society of Cinematographers Outstanding Achievements Awards - okay now take a breath. However, the media wasn't focused just on Jolie's presence, but more so on her left hand, and the ring that was present on that. Pitt proposed almost a year ago with the specially crafted $500,000 16-carat ring that Jolie was sporting last night, but where is the wedding? The rumor mill has been silent, so are there actually just no wedding plans in the forecast for the Jolie-Pitt's? We know they're busy, but this will surely be the wedding of the century, most likely on par with the royals. Pitt recently said in an interview with people
"I am getting more pressure from my kids, and it is something I want to do within their lifetime, but I also feel like the time has come. The time is nigh. It's soon. I got a good feeling about it. We've had a family, we've raised the kids. I am surprised how much [marriage] meant to me once you had that." Soon sounds good, and reports have surfaced that they're eyeing a timeframe close to the Cannes Film Festival, May/June at their French compound.
The world can only wait, and see, and well, mark your calendars for the Cannes Film Festival.
