Dr.Dre & Beats Suing Yamaha

Dr.Dre and Beats Electronics are suing Yamaha saying they copied their headphone design.  In the lawsuit filed Beats claims that the headphones they offer are more than just headphones, they've actually become a fashion accessory for people who wear them as a statement even if they're not actually listening to music with them. They go on to claim that this has been a large reason for the success of the headphones. The lawsuit is seeking $75,000, which seems like a modest amount, not really comparable to come of the figures we've seen in lawsuits lately. Beats says that Yamaha is in violation of Trade Dress Agreement, Unfair Competition, and Copyright Infringement. Additionally, the suit claims that Yamaha has advertisements that are profiting off the success of Beats by Dr.Dre, and their status in the market, and also Dre's status in the rap community.
