Tech N9ne recently sat down with AOL to discuss gun control in the States, and the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Tech N9ne said that he has always had to deal with the gun issues throughout his career because of his stage name. In the past outlets like MTV and BET told the rapper that they wouldn't support him because his name is a gun. However, he says he began to realize that they were full of crap and it was all about the money "because Mack 10 was everywhere." The rapper went on to blame the recent events at Sandy Hook on the atmosphere at the home of the shooter. N9ne says "Discipline starts at home. If your mom has guns like that in the basement, what the fuck is your mom doing? Is she with the militia?" Again, when asked about the blame being put on the mental health of Adam Lanza, Tech N9ne said "I'm telling you it all starts at home." He added that "If there was respect at home, it will carry over."
