Today in Port Jefferson Station one person was seriously injured in a car crash involving four cars. The accident took place on Nesconset Highway and Davis Avenue in the eastbound lanes. The call about the accident came in around 1pm. One of the cars was from Fitzgerald Driving School and police are now saying that the instructor as operating the vehicle. The owner of the driving school Karen Fitzgerald said that no students were in the vehicle at the time of the crash. She also added that detectives who showed up at the scene said it appeared as of now that the instructor suffered a heart attack, or another medical problem while driving which caused the crash.
At this time the police were offering no further details about the crash.
